How To Use Straight-A
One tablespoon of Straight-A dissolved in one gallon of warm water easily cleans residue and buildup on kegs, fermenters, bottles, and everything else. Two tablespoons of Straight-A in the same amount of water will easily de-label beer and wine bottles so that you can affix your own unique seal.
What Makes Straight-A Work?
Straight-A is non-toxic and contains no dangerous materials, making it safe to handle. In addition, it contains no phosphates and no caustic substances and readily degrades into naturally occurring substances, making it environmentally safe.
Our Active Ingredients:
Alkalinity – It neutralizes and dissolves acidic soils typical in brewing and winemaking.
Detergency – Straight-A provides the cleaning power, which means less scrubbing and soaking.
Oxygen – To eliminate impurities that can cause gushing and sour beer.
Wetting – Straight-A actually helps the water penetrate and lift soils from all brewing surfaces.

Straight-A was developed as an environmentally sound product to remove labels from beer bottles as well as clean and protect soft metal finishes. Born from a homebrewer’s frustration with available cleansers, which didn’t meet the criteria listed above, Straight-A goes right to the head of the class. It’s the best product on the market today. It’s as simple as that.
Oh, did we mention that the aforementioned home brewer was also a research chemist with a background in cleaning products and an affection for the environment? Yep, we know what we’re talking about.
Unlike One Step, which is a no-rinse cleanser intended for regular cleaning and final rinsing for your equipment, Straight-A is more of a heavy duty product that removes tough soils while leaving your equipment sparking clean. And unlike One Step, we recommend rinsing every time you use Straight-A because it is an alkaline product and that could throw off the acid balance of your beer or wine. Straight-A incorporates active oxygen, so we recommend storing it in a cool, dark place for best results. And thanks to its other compounds, Straight-A retains its effectiveness over a long time – just remember, a fresh solution will always perform best.
Straight-A’s components are designed to biodegrade or revert to naturally occurring minerals over a short period of time, which means it has ZERO impact in the environment.
