LOGIC, Inc. has compiled a list of what we feel would be on any homebrewer or winemaker’s Wish List. So, if you have one of those in your life, read on. And if you are a homebrewer or winemaker, send your family a hint and forward them this blog post link.

Grainfather

Founder Rick LOVES his – This is actually the unit that he regularly brews on. The reason he chose it is because it had (for him) the right mix of ease-of-use, flexibility, and ease of cleaning. Of course, ease of cleaning is always a big deal to him!

Use the connect control box in conjunction with the connect app for the ultimate brewing experience.

PicoBrew PICO Model C Beer Brewing Appliance

The folks that make the PicoBrew are really awesome people. Founder Rick had an opportunity to get into the PicoBrew when it was on Kickstarter, but he wasn’t quite at the right time of life for that kind of system (unlike now). It brews 5 L rather than 5 gallons, which is actually a positive thing to him! You get to brew a lot of more varied styles when you’re brewing 5 L’s, and you can make it as complicated or as simple as you want. The PicoBrew is really what Rick thinks of when someone says “brewing appliance.“

Blichmann BrewEasy™

Anyone who has been brewing for a little while knows the name Blichmann. The term “over engineered“ always comes to mind when considering a Blichmann product, but Founder Rick really means that in the best possible way. John and the rest of the folks think things through so thoroughly that you know you are getting a system that is truly complete. But this comes at a cost and that’s why they are generally the most expensive items out there. They’re worth it, but sometimes you have to settle for what you can afford.

$1,924.99–$2,494.99 – Where to Buy: http://bit.ly/2UM5Fvp

The BrewEasy™ is a revolutionary new ultra-compact and economical all-grain brewing system.  This patent pending system and process utilizes a two-kettle re-circulation infusion mash system called the Kettle-RIMS™ or K-RIMS™ process for short.  This system is very simple to use and is a very approachable way to transition from extract to all-grain brewing. The BrewEasy™ system eliminates the need for a sparging, simplifying the process and saving time.

LG HomeBrew

LG is diving headfirst into the $26 billion American craft beer market with the launch of its HomeBrew beer maker at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. Products like these have done all the measuring work for the user, all you do is prep the machinery and pop in the barley and hops pods to start brewing your pilsner, IPA, or stout. The LG HomeBrew can make five different types of craft beer, and all you have to do is select a capsule it will use to brew the beer. It handles everything, from fermentation to carbonation and aging. It even self-cleans. In as little as two weeks, you can get a batch of five liters of beer. The mobile app lets you monitor the home brewing process from anywhere. It can operate with constant temperature. LG relies on malt supplier Muntons to provide startup capsules. It gives you five different types of beer: American IPA, American Pale Ale, English Stout, Belgian-style Witbier, and Czech Pilsner. It uses advanced artificial intelligence techniques to brew the beer.

The LG HomeBrew is not yet available for purchase (and pricing information hasn’t been released yet, either) but you can keep checking back with LG for updates. One thing’s for sure, though: when it does make it to market, it’s sure to be a great gift for the craft beer lover in your life.
